My name is Yiek Wei Teck, and I’m 38 years old. I’m from Miri, Sarawak. Towards the end of April this year, I noticed that my gastric acid was becoming more severe, so I went to the hospital for an examination. The report indicated that I had stomach cancer, somewhere between stage 2 and 3. The doctor advised for an immediate surgery to remove my stomach, mentioning that I would probably be hospitalize for five to six days. After the surgery, I realized it wasn’t as simple as I thought.
